Youngest's version of the Lord's Prayer.
Said with eyes Tightly Shut and hands together.
Just before he goes to sleep.
At his request.

Your ability to convert "child language" into written words is astounding. Truly. I can almost hear his little voice as I read your writing. British accent and all. :)
Oh my goodness! What pure enchantment!!
And yes, God is most definitely listening, for no one - and I mean no one - speaks more eloquently to Him than children.
God bless you and yours!
Ah..! Heard of Gladly The Cross Eyed Bear?... as Billy Connolly used to sing, instead of Gladly The Cross I Bear. Poor God, he must get confused.
I am sure that God understands whatever language it's in.
Mine does a very similar Dutch version.
I read that out loud and got tears in my eyes!
Bless him.
And I'm quite sure God is listening with a broad smile on His face!
He is definitely listening. How could you not?
Now that needs to go in a frame. So enjoyed that.
God's listening, and hearing loud and clear. Fantastic!
Brilliant! That cannot fail to be heard.
I typed "usustespresses" into Google. Instead of the typical 2,000,000+ Results it just came up with 2 Results - both Ladybird World Mother blog links.
You seem to have the usustespresses market sown up.
Very much better than the version we muttered during school assembly xx
Is this the Dutch version or the Viking version of the Lord's Prayer?
Jeff - that is such a kind comment! Glad you liked it... it is totally as he says it!1
Alix - Isn't it just darling. You should see his little face as he speaks it. God must so look forward to it each day!
Reasons123 - gorgeous!! Poor God, as you say, must be awful confusin'.
CW - I really do hope so!x

Mud - totally agree... even if He is laughing so hard he cant hear the words...
MJ - oh thank you!! Am so glad you get it too... thought it might be difficult to write AND show how sweet it is...xx
CW - now that is very good to hear... thank you!!x
Sir Bruin - from you, that means a lot!!xx
Troy - yup, me and the Usustespresses control the World. It is code. Obviously. And now you have clocked onto it. Dammit. ;)
gg - totally agree... this one has more 'Je ne sais pas'... wouldn't you say...
Matthew - its a Crafty Mixture of the two. How clever of you to notice....;) xx
i'm sure 'he' understands every word!
xx
How clever is your wee lad to be so fluent in High German!
Ah, lovely! I clearly remember reciting the Lord's Prayer as a child and not understanding a word of it. I always used to think God's name was Hallowed - no one ever thought to explain anything in those days (well, it was a long time ago...)
I have had to make my blog invite only. If you still want to read my ramblings then please e mail me (address on my profile page) and I will send you an invite x
Omigosh.. how utterly precious!
There's no doubt in my mind, that God understands exactly what your little guy is saying.
None at all!
Girl, I would just love to hear this, so do you have a recorder?
No.. never mind, we might get recordings of their oooh's and ahh's at your long wees! LOL!
Yu know.. when I was young, I used to picture God as John Wayne... mainly because of the "hollywood be thy name" I think.
;-)
ww - here's hoping... it'll make him laugh, anyway!
Trasha - he is an Extremely Advanced Young Man. latin, here we come!
BD - glad you used to get confused too... me as well. After I have heard Youngest now doing the same thing, I think I should tell him what its all about... but it sounds SO SWEET!!
Suburbia - have done, and hoping you explain EXACTLY what I need to do... not good at techno stuff, as you know!
Tatersmama - would so love to record him, but as you say, so rightly, dont want ANYONE hearing me wee!! Love the thought of God as John Wayne... so lovely!!!! xx
Stopping by via Matthew's new diggs.
I love your ability to translate kidspeak into print. LOVE IT.
That is so beautiful. Almost brought tears to my eyes.God understands perfectly.
Who could EVER say it better than that? Be still, my heart.........tear.....
This is so delightful... I remember mine when they were young sounding the same. Never thought of writing it down... well I may have, but there was no blogging in those far-off days, and slips of paper get lost.
Love Granny
that put tears in my eyes and a huge lump in my throat
