The Last Straw

Youngest comes racing up the stairs for his bath this evening.
'Mummy!' he pants, as he bursts into the bathroom, 'You know the cat?'
I tell him briskly that I know the cat Very Well Indeed.
'Well, I fink I put my finger in his bottom.'
Dropped shower head into bath and whipped round to face him.
'WHY!?' I ask. Not Unreasonably.
'Oh' he says, in Relaxed Fashion, 'By mistake, I fink.'
And sticks the same finger up his nose.
Oh, God.
I miss the Glamour.

A Post Script
Mystery solved. Youngest informs us at breakfast this morning that he had tried to remove Debris from Cat Bottom.
Others Horrified.
'Yeeuurrcchh. You put your finger in his bottom?!' Roars of Laughter and Disgust.
In equal measure.
Husband and I pour another coffee.
Welcome to the Nut House.

Ah... childish logic.

A friend was lying on the sofa when the boy child stuck an ice lolly in his ear. When he came back down off the ceiling he asked the child why he did it.

"Because it fitted so neatly."

Encourage him, isn't that how Harry Corbett started?

I love the way everything has to be announced, especially gross things.

What? You do not call your life, my life, glamourous? Because of cat butts and stinky fingers? I am disillusioned.

Thank you for ALWAYS making me laugh. You KNOW I love you ALL - even the cat.

And Kevin? Should you read this.....hahahahahahaha.

Cats' bottoms are fine. Just get worried if he starts approaching cows with a marigold glove and a determined expression!

This is most peculiar... I am sure that I commented back on the first few comments... WHERE IS IT?!! Oh, well.
Thanks, one and all. Judging by the measely amounts of comments on my cat's bottom post, it seems that people aren't really very interested in this area. As it were. So to the ten of you that made that special effort...THANK YOU!! Kisses and hugs all round. xxxxxxxxxx one each. oh, and 0000000000

The explanation is fabulous. Said child will be a senior manager in later life!
