Two Years On and Counting

It's my BLOG BIRTHDAY!! Yes, I know, I know. Have just bored the bollocks off you with my 'I am 50 and going to enjoy EVERY MINUTE of my life, etc etc, snore, blah, blah...'
But...
It really is two blinking years. On October 1st. Two years of knowing that ANYTHING on the silly/funny/weird/nonsensical/strange/curious/mad/heart-warming scale can be used IMMEDIATELY, put into words, and kept fresh as a daisy on this blog of mine. And I look back sometimes to see those memories and am hugely thankful, because I just KNOW that so much of what I have written would have been forgotten.
I do feel sorry for you sometimes, dear lovely readers. Another tale of Poo or Vomit can't mix well with that nice cup of coffee you're sipping at, in a peaceful sort of way. At the CyberMummy conference I went to this summer, I attended a little seminar on how to get more readers onto your blog.
Hah!! More readers? I think I need to think of ways to have LESS. Poor POOR folk having to wrestle with lavatories and huge turds. Vomit in handbags. I mean, it's just not NICE. The very kind lady at the conference talked about Key Words and Links and such. I decided there and then to have none of that nonsense. I just want my Blog Mates (and you REALLY ARE!)to come along and read my Bollocks, and then I'll come along and read Yours. If you see what I mean.
So.
Thanks for tolerating such drivel and actually encouraging more of the same.
You mad, mad people.
Hugs. x

I love you.

Vomit, poo, fart or otherwise.

We can always just move to another room if needs be.

I love you!!! Keep it up. Don't change anything to "attract more readers" -- then you get caught up in the ego crap of attracting more readers rather than just having a good time

I am with you on the 'can't be arsed to attract more readers' thing. Prefer reading words of and interacting w interesting people. In fact while mid-experience the other weekend I thought a)this definitely blog fodder and b)'Oh this is quite reminiscent of an LWM post. It involved camping, midnight weeing, small children and a wriggly dog.

Many hearty congratulations on two years of blogging. The connections and friendships that are as strong or stronger than many 'real world' relationships is something so few non-bloggers get. Thank you for sharing the LWM world with us.

(Did that all sounds hideously creepy and stalkerish? It wasn't meant to be.)

I shall be reading this appalling guff for many years to come.

Wow - you took in more than I did at that talk then. Congrats on a great blog and a great age! (Now off to try to figure out why, even though I follow you, you don't show up on my side bar?)

Don't change a thing - poo, farts, vomit, and everything else, it's all part of what makes your blog so much fun to read.

Congrats on 2 years.

Congratulations. I think that everyone who reads you likes things just the way you are.

would like to let Barry say it for all of us...

He unaccountably missed out the verse about poo and vomit.

I'm a fairly recent follower so what on earth have I missed!? May have to trawl through your archives....

I am a non-blogger lurker, found you via Geraldgee! I enjoy reading your blog so please don't change anything, especially youngest's exploits! x

Don't poo, wee, vomit all count as 'key words'??

Keep up the good work!

Happy Blogoversary! Personally speaking, it is the blog posts which include the poo and vomit which help me to know that I am not so different from everyone else. Keep up the brilliant work. :) x

Absolutely! I do the same. Your drivel appreciated by me. The sense of humor you bring makes me want to visit with you. Happy Two Year Blog Day!

Agree entirely on the 'attract more readers' nonsense. I like the informality, the chat and the friendliness.

So big congrats on two years of doing just that.

Oh My. What a lot of good, good words you lot have written.
What I SO love about this blogging malarkey is that we all 'get' each other. This was proved time and time again when I went to Cybermummy and actually met some of you. It was like greeting old friends... ones that you knew all about except the outside. And once again, I am a little overwhelmed by how bloody nice you all are and how lucky it is to have found a whole TRIBE of friends in the most unexpected of place. xxx

Oh dear, I'm in bother! Reading your blog and Mrs Troy storms into the room because I've ignored shouts of Troy Junior who requires help with his homework and I'm "on the sodding computer all day". But congrats. on reaching the two year milestone and keep up the good work. Will continue to sneak onto your blog when Mrs Troy is at work.

Pee, po, belly, bum and, indeed, fart.

Congrats on the anniversary!

Congratulations! I agree with you about the blog bollocks thing, just write what you like and people will either read it or not. No biggy!

Congrats on 2 lovely, poo and vomit filled years!!
I love you just the way you are, so don't go listening to those women who give you an outline or keywords and all that crap.
You're who "YOU" are - and that's the BEST kind of person to be. :D

I can always get another keyboard when I spew my coffee everywhere - but your tales are more than worth the cost of mere electronics. (although if I end up electrocuting myself somehow from spitting coffee into electrical thingamajiggies, I'll just have my lawyer call your lawyer... k?

Besides... we just love a woman who can say "bollocks" or who can discuss "lavatorial" stuff - humourous or otherwise... because you know 'exactly' what she means! Because let's face it... we've all been there/done that, we just don't have your spell-binding talent for turd tales that you do!

Happy Blog-Birthday!

Your blog is always a delight and I have missed it during my enforced absence during building works. I'm looking forward to sitting down with my cup of tea and vomit or poo stories!

I truly don't deserve all these comments... I think you are all taking something. But thank you massively. And keep taking that 'something' because it's all so good for the soul. xxxxx
