I cannot believe how completely useless I have been at blogging. But I have a reason. And it's partly a good reason, and partly a bad one.
I think I'll get the bad reason over first, because it is more of a confession than a reason.
Ready?
Sure?
OK.
Facebook.
There! I said it!
I know, I know... UTTER bollocks and WHY does anyone bother going on Facebook, when there isn't a Face or a Book in sight. When it's much easier to pick up a phone and RING someone. When you can go out in the street (lane, in my case) and just TALK to someone. Much better, eh? Than hauling oneself up in some seedy room, tapping madly on the keys, commenting on some silliness that someone has written about what they had for tea or the shape of the new shoes they have bought.
I know, I know. UTTER bollocks.
But oh, so tempting....
So. Confession over.
And straight on to the Good Reason.
Am writing !! Book! Children's! Nearly finished! Hooray!
In addition to all house work, and Work Work, and trying to maintain the smallest amount of order amongst family, children, garden and dog...
But AM writing and so loving it.
Even if it IS total Toss (which am hoping is NOT) but even if it IS am thrilled to bits that I started something, carried on, and now have almost finished.
Will then need to go back and edit and Stuff. (note how NOT author-like I am...)
And then can write those wonderful words at the end.
The End.
Whooppee!
So.
Hope all your lives are swimmingly gorgeous. Anyone else feel a little nicer towards Murray now? The great big girl's blouse.

A book? That's wonderful! I want to read it - I know it will be amazing, utterly utterly amazing.
And once it is done and dusted - can we have some more blogging please?
xx
Whoo-hoo to you! Good luck on the rest of it.
I share your views about FB, but I continue to use it as it seems to be the best way to keep track of my boys. One is at drum tech in London, one is a copper in Kent and one is currently touring with Radiohead. None of them answer their bloody phones. Am impressed at the book writing - I don't have the attention span to complete anything like that.
I too am a Facebook addict. I have stopped playing the games (unlike Sir Bruin who spends a good deal more time playing Angry Birds and Bubble Witch Saga than he does communing with his offspring - just sayin') but I still go on there about 4 times a day to see who is about.
At one time, I blamed FB for the infrequency of my blogging, but I no longer have that excuse. Then I blamed work, but I no longer have that excuse either!
I had thoughts of being a writer at one time and wrote a few short stories but then I lost interest. I have huge admiration for anyone who even finishes something let alone gets to the editing stage. Well done you!
Yay! That is all.
Oh, and missed you.
LCM x
Definitely not a fan of FB for good reason (to me) but am impressed that you have written a book. Do let us know title and when it is to be published!

Sir B - I know, those UTTER useless kids of ours who don't answer the phone... and yet they are on them ALL THE TIME. Oh, well... hooray for FB!xx
Liz - glad to hear it Liz... (re FB) I too use any excuse for not blogging... awful how something so lovely can sometimes be a bind... xx

Tattie - LOVE you too! Such optimism!! xx
sotc - schmacebook indeed... !! xx
You'll need a catchy title for your book - "Fifty Shades Of Childhood"???
Fabulous. I love FB although I don't spend too much time on it. I am however, currently embroiled in a bit of a spat (long story) with a local band who had the utter cheek to cancel a gig my son was supporting - without telling anyone. First thing we knew was after son and co. had set their stuff up on stage and were half way through a sound check. Given that my son and co. are 16 and younger, AND this was their first gig ever, they were pretty gutted. Parents even more so, on their behalf.
So I took to the band's FB page and let them have it. Now all their fans are chiming in and having a right laff at my expense. Facepalm. As they say.
Troy - !!! need to read the original! EVERYONE is talking about it. Far too demure, of course, to read it myself. xx
EM - How ABSOLUTELY infuriating... good for you for blasting away on FB.
Facepalm!!!! Naughty girl .xx
Maybe worth reading some of the one star reviews on Amazon first?
Great post,I really like your article..toko baju muslim
Well done you! I cannot believe you have written a book amidst all else that you do. I feel a complete slacker now. Facebook is a harmless and funny diversion, know what you mean...
I keep FBing and posting my blogs on FB (my personal one not my Humdrum one) and then feeling no need for Humdrum??? I need something new to bridge blogging and Facebook, or just a better use of the two. Sorry, anyway WRITING A BOOK wow congrats! I am in awe. -HMx
Thanks for your lovely comment on my blog - not been on it for a while so very late in responding! I think your reasons for not blogging are completely justified and well done you for the book - how exciting!
